App only holds 20 recipes before you have to pay for the Pro version

won’t let me sync my purchase with my icloud through other devices, all recipes lost

I seldom buy apps, but this one is worth it! I can check ingredients before shopping, I can share a recipe with friends, and keep up with the source of the recipe too!

My wife and I have used Recipe Keeper for about 2 years. It’s fantastic. We love the shared shopping list. And, the ability to share a recipe. We’ve converted many friends and have expanded our recipes greatly. We also use the recipe book feature to create menus for dinner parties. Everyone loves that!

This is the greatest recipe app on the planet. Its AI is fantastic, making it super easy to accurately import recipes from all sources. It does a phenomenal job of importing all the key details even from a photo. It also has ample flexibility with categorizing your recipes for easier meal planning.

This app is just fantastic! Everything in 1 place… with NO pop up ads. Well worth the extra money. It toke me a few to figure out how to put categories in. Thanks for a great app!

We’ve been using Recipe Keeper for so many years now that I’ve lost count. Our family of four adults make meals at home 85%-90% of the time and when we do Recipe Keeper is open on more than one of our devices; sometimes with different recipes. It’s so much easier to use Recipe Keeper than an old cookbook that’s falling apart or a foodie website with constant ads distracting you while concentrating on making your meal. One of our favorite features is the import recipes from websites and import from photos. This is the power of the app! You are no longer carrying a binder of 30-40 year old recipes with you! Easily upload them and done. Recipe Keeper is a massive time saver for anyone who loves to bake or cook! Don’t want to make 3 dozen spicy chicken wings? Tell Recipe Keeper to cut your recipe in half or 2/3 and it will change your quantities for you! I could go on but most people have stopped reading already.To the publisher, please keep innovating this app. It’s incredible! Thanks!

You have to pay again if you want to use it on another device, you can only sync across devices if it’s the same Apple ID, other than that if you have downloaded it onto your iPhone but you have a different OS PC you will need to pay again to be able to use it on a different device, so no you cannot download on another device and sync for free Update as a reply to them: This still doesn’t justify how you sell it, it is misleading, making it seem it can be used across all devices…I’ve already paid $20 not knowing it needed to be across only apple devices, now I’ve gotta pay another $20, that’s $40, I wasted $20

I like this app, although it looks outdated and there isn’t a ton of functionality. The biggest issue is syncing between devices. If I add a new recipe that I found while scrolling Facebook, it doesn’t sync to my iPad which I use to read recipes when I’m cooking.

Best 20$ I ever spent. This app is so easy to use. If I’m lazy I can just take a picture of my recipes. I love that when you download a recipe off the internet, just the recipe appears, not the whole boring blog. More importantly you can alter that recipe really easily to make it your own or add notes to it. This is a must to store recipes if there is ever a fire or a flood, they are all safe in the cloud. Very happy with my purchase.

The app doesn’t disclose until you upload 20 recipes that you must now pay to save anymore than that. If you don’t want to pay to save recipes then don’t waste your time

It doesn’t matter if it is pic with cursive hand writing or a website, this app makes adding a recipe easy. Love that it doesn’t let your iPad go to sleep when you pull up a recipe to cook. Worth every penny.

I love this app. The only thing I have noticed is that it does not transfer the nutrition information. It would be great for us that have to watch calories etc

Recipe keeper has everything you could want. Many ways to add recipes and photos. Meal planning and shopping lists. I find it super helpful and fun

I can now find all those recipes I struggled to find before. It’s so easy to send a recipe to this app from most any platform. It’s easy to resize and edit recipes as well as search for them within the app

This app is seriously a life saver! Must have if you cook or bake a lot!

I love this App! It is such a time saver. I am currently in the process of transferring all my recipes- handwritten or clipped from a million places. It feels so great to throw away all that paper and put it in a place I can find! I love the way I can personalize it. I use it daily.

So far I have entered over 200 recipes in several categories. The intuitive nature and the ease of transfer from paper, from cookbooks, my mom’s handwriten cards, taking pictures directly from my iPhone all directly to this software is so very simple, even for an 82 year old. In addition I have freed up two whole shelves that used to hold cookbooks that I previously had to search through before starting a meal or treat. In addition the ability to edit recipes on the fly while you are preparing them, stops the repeated failures. Then there is the shopping list and meal planning options.

This app has been everything i was hoping for in a recipe app. I hardly ever pay for apps but this one was 100% worth it!

After years of finding recipes, printing them and then having to go through pages and pages to look for a specific recipe, I had had enough. I found Recipe Keeper and have used the free version for about a month and absolutely love it. It is worth every penny if you cook a lot and like to make different recipes. This is the app for you! Try it out and you will want to pay for it not only because it is worth it but also because you will want to pay to keep the company in business.

This gets 2 stars only because it is a great product. The marketing on this is terrible. "Sync everywhere and all will sync based on your Apple ID". That is unless you have an iPhone and a Mac. Even though you use the same Apple ID, you get to buy this for both platforms. Their popups are not exactly clear about that. So if I want to add this to my PC as well? You guessed it. Pay up again. Buyer beware.

I have purchased this app and love how easy it makes getting recipes off of social media. My only complaint is I wish my daughter could sign on to my account on her phone so we wouldn’t have to purchase it multiple times for my household. And we could work from the same pool of recipes without having to build it twice.

Update: the developer’s response repeats exactly what I said here: you have to pay $30 each time you load onto Windows, you don’t on iOS, and you can’t export to anything useful. Thanks for confirming my review. ————————— I love all of the app except two critical things. First, you have to buy it multiple times if you want it on iOS and Windows, and although it syncs across multiple iOS devices with one purchase, not so with Windows devices. That didn’t use to be a problem when the app was $5, but now it’s $30 and that’s just ridiculous for repeat purchases. Second, I’ve spent all kinds of time putting data into the app but can’t get it out in an easily useable format. The only export option is to an .html file. I could write a script to convert it to something useable but why not allow export to a .csv?

Literally the best app I’ve ever purchased! The best part is being able to copy recipes from websites. It’s super easy to make edits, sort recipes, create cookbooks, share recipes—just anything you want. I got my SIL to get the app, and we trade recipes easily. If you want a great recipe app, this is the one!

Love that ingredients from online recipes can be tweaked. I use Greek yogurt instead of mayo and can change that in the actual recipe along with other things such as cutting the sugar, or updates ‘after’ I’ve made the recipe.

Maybe if you pay for the advanced feature, the recipes you added to the app will show up. If you don’t, the same random, not your pick, recipes will pop up. I just “saved” a recipe to the app and it isn’t there. What’s the point? Now I have to try to find all of those recipes again because this app was a waste of time.

I thought this would be a great way of organizing all our recipes and keeping everyone in our house informed as it states it can go across devices, both iOS and pc, but you have to buy access for every device since pc and iOS don't share logins. So all my recipes I added on my pc, I cannot access from my phone. My husband cannot access my saved recipes because his device has a separate login. It's completely worthless if you want to access from multiple devices.

I really really like this app and would like to love it. I don’t want to sync it across multiple devices, and also don’t need tech support. I just would like to be able to add more than 20 recipes without having to upgrade to the pro version and pay the steep fee. Do you have a more reasonable, middle of the road cost option for just adding more recipes?

My extended family have shared Recipe Keeper for years. It is easy to use, easy to pass recipes from one person to another. Great price, good value and wonderful concept! Thank you, Carol, The Crafty Cook

App is limited except on redundancies. We like the planner but you guys need a ton of help before charging for an upgrade that doesn’t provide an inventory to select from opposed to single shopping cart for recipes. It’s counterintuitive at best.

I have it installed on all my Apple products and I can easily go from phone, to tablet, MacBook to add and edit recipes. My iPad works great on the counter as I cook or bake. Out of all the apps I have tried, this app is the best I’ve seen so far! I definitely recommend this app!

I love this, I can have it on my phone and laptop. If I find a recipe on any site I can add it to the recipe keeper by link and if that doesn’t work I use the print option on my iphone and then save it that way. You can also dividing large recipes for 1-2 people.

This is the best recipe app. You can seamlessly move recipes from webpages and blogs directly into your catalog. All I do is find recipes on Pinterest, copy the link to the blog or webpage, and then paste it right into the Recipe Keeper. It syncs across all my devices as well. I highly recommend.

I love the program! Easy to use easy pull up recipes from websites. however, my one complaint is regarding the cookbook section. I have been I’ve been unable to create a cookbook and have written to you for help. I have received no answer. This is very disappointing and makes me wonder if you are supporting the app.

Recipe Keeper app has made one of the hardest parts of cooking so much easier for us. Keeping our recipes in one accessible location has given us the ability to pick a dish, pull it up in the market while shopping, discovering new recipes and adding our favorites to our library…all done across different devices and users. When prep time comes it’s all there on the iPad. Whatever mood we are in for dinner, Recipe Keeper has the perfect dish.

No longer works on my echo show. Contacted Amazon, they say to contact the app. Contacted the app, they didn’t help at all.

Any time I get the chance to tell someone about this all I take it. For people that like to cook and try new recipes it just makes it so simple and easy to keep track of everything. Now that that added the ability to upload recipes from social media like tik tok and instagram it made it ever better. I love it!!!

I’m constantly saving videos off Instagram or recipes from websites and magazines. I can upload them to this one app! It makes it so easy. Love it so much, highly recommend if you are finding recipes from various places. I haven’t tried the meal planner part of it yet (I’m not quite that organized yet), but it definitely looks promising! Worth every penny!

Love this app for organizing recipes! Easy import from websites, photo scans, handwritten recipes, making a grocery shopping list, meal planning calendar and more. Bought the lifetime option awhile back. Very helpful customer service. I recommend this to all my friends and family.

I hope this app never shuts down. It is my lifeline. And I hope to pass my recipes on to my kids via Recipe Keeper. I love that you can edit the recipes and tweak ingredients. I have talked about and ‘sold’ this useful app to so many friends. Great job to your amazing team to create this perfect recipe archival app.

Amazing app! Perfect for using across so many platforms - websites, grandmas old recipes, written down! The paid version is worth it to use across platforms, especially with the Alexa Show. Totally worth the cost!!

I used this app for years and lost a ton of recipes after I suddenly couldn’t sign in. I’m not able to log in and when I click on the “Forgot Password” link it doesn’t send an email to reset the password. Using Paprika App instead. Way better. Much more user friendly and you can easily download recipes from websites.

Hands down this is the best recipe app out there. I’ve been using this app for years and highly recommend upgrading to the pro version. Honestly couldn’t cook without it!

I hardly ever spend money on apps, and this one costs more than most, but I tried the free version for about a month, and it works so well that I bought the full version, and I’m really glad I did. It makes it so much easier to cook, plan, shop, use up ingredients, etc. There’s also something about being able to pull up a recipe on my phone and kind of pre-plan it before I go to the kitchen that just makes everything easier for me. I now use this app almost every day.

I can say enough of the wonderful electric recipe keeper. I can easily take recipes where ever I go. Take a pic of the recipe, head to the store then return to make. So super easy!!!

Please add a button or toggle switch so that we can turn off allowing the app to add recipes to our collections. I don’t like that I open the app and see recipes that I didn’t put into my collections. Please give us the option of stopping the app from adding recipes. I want my recipes to be recipes that I have tried and know are amazing.
